Imagine being in a Utopian world of candy-land and all the worldly desires, a world of your dreams, of cookies and creams, but now, you have this small device in your hand which makes you wear invisible glasses of selective colourblindness.

Yes! I’m talking about your teeny- tiny, highly overstimulating glossily vibrating “ phone”.

We don’t realise how deeply we have fallen into the trap of this small device. Not only is it psychologically problematic but is also emotionally and physically draining. The virtual templates and the overstimulating user interface on your phone actually kills the thin line between reel and real life.
People claim to see real colours “ not as bright as they were when we were young”, and this small device is to blame.

The irony is, that man, who has been made by the nature, has created this device which is taking us away from nature, its more like a son putting the nurturing mother to an old age home after growing up. It doesn’t stop here, mobile addiction is being inculcated by parents itself, shocking! Right? But ever seen at a wedding or family function where the mother hands over the phone to the child just for their sake to stay silent? Thats exactly what I’m talking about.

Addiction is not an immediate reaction, it is rather a gradual process, which starts way earlier than when it is recognised. Taking away phones from children who are already addicted, will only result to withdrawal symptoms which will exacerbate this problem. The solution lies in scheduling.

Since in today’s era, it’s not the most practical thing to take the phones away, what can be done is scheduling. A process in which a time table is created and time to each activity is allotted accordingly. If in this way the mobile phone use can be regulated, it can prevent what’s coming ahead of us.

Let’s prevent psychological disorders like virtual autism and help our children remove the glasses of reel life and be able to enjoy this candy-land and a world full of bright colors and new possibilities.
